Guiding in the High North
In addition to running my own tours, I also work as a guide on Arctic expedition cruises.
On these voyages I accompany guests on small expedition ships to some of the most fascinating regions of the North — from Northern Norway and Svalbard to Greenland.
We go ashore by zodiac, hike through Arctic landscapes, and experience this remarkable region up close.
These voyages are organized and operated by specialized expedition operators. On selected departures, I work as part of the expedition team on board.
Expedition Instead of Cruise
Expedition voyages are very different from traditional cruises.
The ships are small and flexible, allowing us to explore remote regions in depth. Instead of entertainment on board, the focus is on experiencing nature.
The course of an expedition often depends on weather, ice conditions, and wildlife sightings — and it is exactly this flexibility that makes these journeys so special.
