your Arctic adventure in Northern Norway

From fjord to summit – your Ski & Sail adventure in Northern Norway.

Welcome on board for an unforgettable winter adventure!
This journey combines ski touring in the Arctic mountains with the unique experience of exploring Northern Norway under sail. With our sailing yacht Lazy and a small group, we travel flexibly, discovering snowy peaks and remote fjords. We anchor in sheltered bays, from where we can start our ski tours directly.

The Nordland region and the Bodø Alps are in no way inferior to the famous Lofoten or Lyngen Alps – except that they are far less frequented. Whether climbing through untouched winter landscapes, skiing down with views of the fjords, or sailing between snow-covered mountains – this trip promises intense nature experiences, a strong sense of community, and unforgettable moments.

Bodø Airport (BOO) is only a few kilometers from the city center and the harbor. Please allow enough buffer time for your journey and book your flights only once we have confirmed the trip with enough crew members.

Our partner travel agency, www.nordwindreisen.de, will be happy to assist you with booking your flights.

The planned start and end point of the tour is in Bodø Havn
(subject to change).

Carpooling to the port:
Please let us know when you register if we can share your contact details with your fellow travelers. This way you can also coordinate with the rest of the crew to organize joint transfers from the airport to the port (transfer is not included in the tour price).

SV Lazy – your home at sea
The SV Lazy combines adventure and comfort: plenty of space for up to 10 guests, cozy cabins, a sunny deck, and a bright deck saloon with panoramic views. With smart features, storage for skis and fishing gear, and a dedicated drying room, she is ideal for voyages north of the Arctic Circle – robust, seaworthy, and yet as inviting as a second home. She is equipped with a reefable mainsail and mizzen, as well as a genoa and staysail. Under sail, the yacht makes up to 8 knots.

You do NOT need any sailing experience. On the first day there is an intensive safety briefing. If you are interested, you will receive a basic sailing course, so you have the opportunity to learn the basics of sailing from an internationally certified skipper.

We cook together every evening. During the day, we prepare snacks. When we call at a port, we can visit a restaurant if we wish (not included in the tour price).

A bath towel is provided for each crew member. Please bring an additional bath towel. Bed linen and bedding are also provided.

The trips can only be carried out if the specified minimum number of participants is reached. If this number is not reached, the tour operator may cancel the tour up to 8 weeks before the start of the tour at the latest.

Cancellation:
We advise you to take out travel cancellation insurance and insurance that covers your repatriation costs in the event of an accident or illness. Please check your insurance cover.

International health insurance:
Make sure that you have international health insurance for your trip abroad to cover any costs incurred in the event of illness or accident.

Trip interruption insurance:
We also recommend travel interruption insurance in case you have to interrupt your trip for unexpected reasons on site.

Please book directly via the website by filling out the contact form.
Once I have received your booking, you will promptly receive a booking confirmation (can take up to 4 weeks) and an invoice for a deposit of 50% with a payment term of 14 days. The remaining amount is due at the latest 10 weeks before the start of the trip without further request. You can pay the invoices conveniently by bank transfer.

Changes and/or deviations from the published itinerary may occur at any time during the trip. In particular, changing local conditions and weather-related factors mean that the stated itinerary cannot be guaranteed. The published program therefore represents the planned itinerary only, without guaranteeing the exact schedule in detail. Adjustments may always be made for safety reasons and are at the discretion of the guide.

Important note: Due to weather and tides, there is no fixed route. Flexibility is key to ensuring the best possible ski touring and sailing experience! You can be sure that we will do everything we can to reach the most beautiful bays and destinations and to make the most of your trip, creating an unforgettable experience. Safety always comes first, and spontaneous changes may occur at any time.

Please make sure your equipment is functional and up to date. If your gear does not meet the requirements of the tour, you are not entitled to participate, and the guide may exclude you from the trip. In the event of exclusion, there is no right to a refund of the trip price. After booking, you will receive a detailed equipment list.

I recommend lightweight touring skis with pin bindings and matching touring boots. Feel free to check out my partner Blizzard | Tecnica for suitable options.
